Improving the Understanding of Coastal Wetland Condition and Resiliency Through High Resolution Land Cover Data

Several land cover and wetland related data and information products will be developed within the U.S. portion of the Great Lakes basin. Work will be conducted over multiple scales in order to create a suite of outputs that can fulfill local, as well as regional and national, needs. Outcomes of this project will focused on the production of high resolution (1-meter or better) land cover data for the Great Lakes basin areas of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and New York. This data will include up to 5 categories of wetlands, plus impervious, canopy, and the other various uplands consistent with NOAA’s Coastal Change Analysis Program (C-CAP). The data will be incorporated into those national standard products and distributed through the Digital Coast website.
