Status Review Report for Alewife (Alosa pseudoharengus) and Blueback herring (Alosa aestivalis) (ID405)

The information is a review of the biological and conservation status of, and extinction risk to, alewife or blueback herring, collectively known as river herring, which were petitioned for listing under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). A review of the status of the species is required under section 4 of the ESA. The river herring status review report will help inform the decision whether river herring warrant listing under the ESA.
