These 30-minute webinars are presented by Florida Sea Grant extension agents and specialists. They focus on marine and coastal science topics, specifically related to Florida. Recordings of past webinars are available.


CIRES/NOAA Science Show & Share offsite link

For 6th - 12th grade students

The CIRES Science Show & Share webinar series connects middle and high school students with scientists from around the world. The scientists will share about their work, what they are doing, how they are doing it, and why it's important. The series features topics on current environmental events like Earth Day and COP26, as well as, connect with researchers from some of the most remote locations in the world. The webinar recordings can be used as stand-alone classroom resources. This program is a continuation of the successful Science@Home offsite link program. 


National Marine Sanctuaries Webinar Series

The National Marine Sanctuaries Webinar Series provides educators with educational and scientific expertise, resources and training to support ocean and climate literacy in the classroom. This series targets formal and informal educators that are engaging students (elementary through college) in formal classroom settings, as well as members of the community in informal educational venues (e.g., after school programs, science centers, aquariums, etc.).


NOAA Science Seminar Series

The NOAA Science Seminar Series has been ongoing since 2004 with hundreds of webinars per year and thousands of archives! Topics range across all NOAA content areas, from weather and climate, to ocean and coasts, to Great Lakes, satellites, data, and much more. Weather101

Weather101 is a series of free interactive online classes to help audiences learn about meteorology, forecasting and the National Weather Service in general. Topics include weather basics, sever storms, satellites, hurricanes, circulations, fire, floods, and much more!

The CELC Aquaculture Initiative is designed to connect NOAA resources and experts and aquarium educators so that they can better communicate aquaculture science and issues to the public. The webinar series is a quarterly event, where various aquaculture experts talk about a variety of issues, from how seafood helps with public health to the science of breeding corals or saving an endangered mollusc. Anyone is welcome to attend.

Ocean Today: Deeper Dive

For middle and high school formal and informal educators

The NOAA Ocean Today: Deeper Dive was a monthly webinar airing on or around the full moon. The show is hosted by Symone Barkley, an educator and marine biologist from the National Aquarium, and features other guests from NOAA and elsewhere. Each month features a different ocean topic, such as marine archaeology, beach safety, and hurricanes. During the live webinar, viewers are engaged with videos from the Ocean Today collection, interactive polls, hands-on activities, and a chance to ask questions of our experts.
